Concord on Canvas

Concord on Canvas is an annual event conducted by the Concord Downtown Development Corporation. It is a celebration of the talents of local professional artists and high school artists, with their works displayed side-by-side. A portion of the proceeds generated from the students’ paintings is donated back to that student’s school’s art department. This year Concord on Canvas raised over $1500 for the art departments of Central Cabarrus High School, Concord High School, Hickory Ridge High School, Jay M. Robinson High School, and Northwest Cabarrus High School.

Each year Concord on Canvas announces a favorite student artist from each participating grade level. Winners are determined by the highest combination of votes and dollars raised from their paintings.

Congratulations to this year's Concord on Canvas favorite student artist winners:

9th Grade: Lillian-Grace Prince (Concord High School), painting: If It Ain’t Red Leave It In the Shed
10th Grade: Kelli Collins (Concord High School), painting:  Still Standing
11th Grade: Hannah Albinus (Jay M. Robinson High School) painting:  Statue in a Field
12th Grade: Adelle Patten (Concord High School), painting:  Cinque Terre
