Congratulations, CCHS Vikings!
Congratulations to the Central Cabarrus Vikinigs on winning back-to-back 3A men's basketball NCHSAA 3A state championships. The Vikings defeated Fayetteville Seventy-First 90-62 on Friday night at Winston-Salem's Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum for the school's third men's basketball state championship. The Vikings also won the state championship in 2000 and 2023.
The win was the 65th in a row for Central Cabarrus, capping off back-to-back undefeated seasons for the Vikings.
This is the sixth time since 2016 that a Cabarrus County School has won a state men's basketball championship: J.M. Robinson (2016, 2022), Cox Mill (2017, 2018), and Central Cabarrus (2023, 2024).
