Personnel Annoucement

Superintendent Dr. John Kopicki has announced the following personnel appointment, which was approved by the Board of Education on Monday, July 8.

Elizabeth Schriver, MTSS Coach at Odell Primary School, has been named assistant principal at R. Brown McAllister STEM Elementary School replacing Emily Zelando, who has resigned. Elizabeth will begin her new role at R. Brown McAllister on August 1st.

Elizabeth began her career with Cabarrus County Schools in 2015 as a third-grade teacher at Odell Elementary School. Previously, she had served as a teacher in North Carolina with the Rowan-Salisbury School System and in New Bern. Elizabeth began her educational career in 2008 in Baltimore, Md.

Elizabeth holds her bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and her master's degree from Catawba College. She has also earned additional licensure certifications from High Point University and Gardner-Webb University.
