Apply online to see if your family qualifies for free or reduced meals at school! Your application will be sent via a secure website directly to Cabarrus County Schools, so you don't need to worry about filling out a paper form that could be lost or misplaced.

Applications must be turned in every school year unless you receive a letter from us telling you that you do not need to apply.

The online application is designed to make the process easy and guide you every step of the way. Once you submit the form, it will be processed within 10 days and we will send you a letter with the results. If you register for a free account, you will be able to view the status of your application.

Helpful Hints

• If you participate in an assistance program or receive benefits such as SNAP/FNS/Food Stamps, TANF/WorkFirst/Cash Assistance, or FDPIR, you will need to know your case number (not your card or account number).
• If you do not participate in any of these programs, you will need to report your total household income. In that case…
  • you will need to tell us the income of everyone in your household. We need your gross income, which is different from the amount you actually receive in your paycheck. It is the amount you are paid before taxes and other deductions are taken out.
  • if anyone receives Social Security or retirement benefits, gather the benefit statements to report the amount and frequency of the payments.
  • you may also need other financial documents if you have any other sources of income.
• Have your childrens' Student ID numbers (aka "lunch number"). You can often find this on the class schedule..
• Be sure to click FINISH or SUBMIT when you are finished! This will finalize your application and submit it for processing.
• If you do not have a computer at home, please contact your school for assistance.
