Welcome to Cabarrus County Schools (CCS)! I am Diana Arévalo, and I have a Master of Science in Education Degree in School Psychology with the Bilingual Extension. I was born and raised in Queens, New York. And I just moved to North Carolina! I have really enjoyed visiting Asheville and living in Charlotte. Moreover, I have found the Blue Ridge Mountains to be so beautiful and breathtaking! I have worked as a Bilingual School Psychologist for nine years, and this is my first year at CCS. Over the years, I have truly appreciated and enjoyed having a comprehensive role as a Bilingual School Psychologist, such as providing psychoeducation to families through workshops, providing consultation services to educators and families, conducting meetings, providing counseling services to students, administering psychoeducational assessments, and more. I have a special interest in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Art Therapy to heal students socially and emotionally. During my free-time, I like to go hiking, read, journal, meditate, travel all over, and do art! I also enjoy spending time with my fur baby boy, named Benji!
