My name is Sydney Riedel, and I am a second-year school psychologist from Buffalo, NY. This is my third year with Cabarrus County Schools, as I completed my internship here during the 2024–2025 school year. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University and my Master of Arts and Advanced Certificate in School Psychology from the University at Buffalo.

During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a behavior technician at Michigan State’s Early Learning Institute and conducted research in Michigan State’s Clinical Psychophysiology Lab. During my graduate studies, I assisted with research focused on using yoga as a tool to promote psychological health in young girls. Through these experiences, I developed a special interest in supporting students with autism and social-emotional needs. I am passionate about using mindfulness, movement, and flexible thinking skills to promote students’ well-being. I also love connecting with families and believe in the importance of a strong home-school connection.

I am a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP), and I am looking forward to another great school year!
