Community Use of Schools
Cabarrus County Schools Board of Education endorses the goals of the North Carolina Community Schools Act. The purpose of this act is to encourage greater community involvement in public schools and greater community use of public school facilities. The board will make specified indoor and outdoor school facilities available for use by eligible community groups under agreements developed in accordance with this policy. School events (such as school athletic events, school drama, school clubs, band/choral productions) shall have first priority in the use of school facilities.
Please note: Effective December 6, 2022, users are required to furnish a certificate of insurance for general liability coverage, naming Cabarrus County Schools Board of Education as an additional insured with a total limit coverage of $1,000,000.00 for each claim made.
