State Superintendent's Art Initiative
As an opportunity to recognize student artists and to encourage participation in all the arts throught the state, as well as in each loacl school district, the State Superintendent of North Carolina Public Schools invited each school district to select one piece of visual art to be permanently displayed in the NC Department of Public Instruction building in Raleigh. CCS Superintendent, Dr. Chris Lowder, selected the artwork of Mary Elizabeth Morgan, a 12th grade student at Cox Mill High School, for the 2018 Art Initiative. Congratulations to Mary Elizabeth and her teacher, Ms. Courtney Leaym, on this very special honor!
