Kindergarten Registration

Welcome to Kindergarten—Enrollment Begins Here!

Registration for the 2025-2026 school year is open for children turning 5 years old on or before August 31, 2025. Spring registration is the ideal time to enroll for the smoothest transition. This page has all the information you'll need to enroll your kindergartener. Let's get started today!

  • To enroll a student, you must be the biological parent or court-ordered guardian. CCS welcomes all students who live within the district's boundaries and meet the state age and health requirements.

  • **This is required by North Carolina Statute. Students who do not have this completed after 30 days following the start of school will not be allowed to attend until the requirements are met. All schools and local physicians are aware of the requirements and have the proper forms that are needed for documentation. Parents can also print the NC Assessment Transmittal Form from their Scribbles account.

A colorful poster announces 'Safety Town,' a free event for rising kindergarten students, hosted by The Junior Charity League of Concord.

Safety Town is coming to Rocky River Elementary School

The Junior Charity League's Safety Town is coming to Rocky River Elementary School this summer on July 22 & 23.

Safety Town is a Concord tradition that provides rising kindergarteners with age-appropriate safety rule experiences in a fun and unique format. Police officers, firefighters, and volunteers from the Red Cross teach bus, gun, and fire safety, just to name a few. During this free half-day camp, League volunteers supervise the students as they rotate through each class.
