Hi my name is Tyhitia Allen! I am the School Social Worker at J.N. Fries Stem Middle School and Hickory Ridge Elementary School. For the past 15 years, I have worked in the field of social work. I graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Salisbury University with a dual bachelor's degree in Sociology/Social Work.  I earned my master's degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I moved to North Carolina from Delaware about 11 years ago.

I am here to assist children and families by connecting them with community resources. As a school social worker, my goal is to help children improve their academic success by removing social, emotional, economic, and environmental barriers to learning.

Monday: J.N. Fries Middle School

Tuesday: Hickory Ridge Elementary

Wednesday: J.N. Fries Middle School

Thursday: Hickory Ridge Elementary

Friday: Alternate between both schools
