Title I: Supporting Student Success

The Title I program provides financial support to public schools with high percentages of economically disadvantaged students. The goal is to ensure that all students meet state academic standards.

How It Works in Cabarrus County Schools

  • Title I funds are provided to schools with the highest percentages of students from low-income families.
  • All participating schools operate school-wide programs, using funds to support every student in the building.

Focus of Title I

Title I supports:

  • State and district reform efforts tied to challenging academic standards
  • Strategies that improve teaching and learning for students furthest from meeting grade-level goals
  • Effective, research-based programs that improve overall student achievement
  • as a key component of student success

Parent and Family Engagement

We believe families play a vital role in student learning. Our school-wide programs include strategies to promote meaningful family involvement.
