Hi! My name is Anja Burcak (pronounced On-yah Boor-chuck). I joined Cabarrus County Schools last year as an intern. After attending UNC, I continued to explore my interests in mental health and advocacy through volunteering (victim advocacy), tutoring, writing, and research (suicide prevention lab). I graduated from ECU’s School Psychology MA/SSP program in May 2024. This year, I am excited to continue to serve my 2 school sites: Wolf Meadow Elementary School and J N Fries Middle School! I grew up in Greenville, NC. Go Pirates! My professional interests include student mental health, suicide prevention, and disability advocacy. In my free time, I like to explore local coffee shops and bookstores!
